Octabills ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Octabills mobile and POS terminal application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
2. Offline Storage & Data Ownership
Octabills is designed as an offline-first POS terminal. All transactions, GST invoices, table orders, product lists, and database backups are stored strictly locally on your physical device. We do not transmit, sync, or store your business transactions, sales metrics, customer lists, or products on our servers.
3. Information Collection and Use
Since all database files remain on your device, we do not access or collect your business operations data. We may only gather basic terminal activation info (e.g. Store Login ID and active subscription metadata) during store login synchronization using Google Firebase Remote Config.
4. Security of Data
Because your data is saved locally on your terminal, the security of your business records depends on the physical protection of your device. We advise maintaining device passwords and secure backups.
